Salmon River
Fish the world-renown Salmon River in upstate New York for some of the best Salmon, Steelhead, and Brown Trout fishing in the country. August through October is an excellent time for Chinook (Kings) and Coho Salmon fishing.  Click here to book your trip.

King Salmon average 20+lbs. with some tipping the trophy scale in the 40pound Class. The Coho Salmon will average 12-20 pounds and give you an acrobatic fight of a lifetime. Hooking these torpedoes on a fly rod with light tippet is a challenge that will keep you coming back to this beautiful river for years to come.

During the fall salmon run, schools of big Brown Trout enter the river. Combine these 3 species and this will provide you with a menagerie of excitement and a shot at a possible NY State record.

Mid-October the Steelhead trout enter the river in pursuit of the salmon eggs. These big chromers remain in the river through April when they spawn. Steelhead average between 10-20 pounds and test the gears on the best fishing reels.

My 16-ft. Hyde boat is heated and comfortable for a long day on the river. Fly-fishing or light tackle spinning gear is of your preference and is provided, or feel free to bring your favorite setup. A stream side lunch and beverages are provided. Below are a few items that you will not want to forget:
