King Salmon average
20+lbs. with some tipping the trophy scale in the 40pound Class.
The Coho Salmon will average 12-20 pounds and give you an
acrobatic fight of a lifetime. Hooking these torpedoes on a
fly rod with light tippet is a challenge that will keep you
coming back to this beautiful river for years to come.
During
the fall salmon run, schools of big Brown Trout enter the
river. Combine these 3 species and this will provide you with
a menagerie of excitement and a shot at a possible NY State
record.
Mid-October the Steelhead trout enter the river in
pursuit of the salmon eggs. These big chromers remain in the
river through April when they spawn. Steelhead average between
10-20 pounds and test the gears on the best fishing reels.
My
16-ft. Hyde boat is heated and comfortable for a long day on
the river. Fly-fishing or light tackle spinning gear is of
your preference and is provided, or feel free to bring your
favorite setup. A stream side lunch and beverages are provided.
